It has been awhile since a newsletter has been released from the offices of kjkonkin.com. This is not surprising considering the vast amount of change that has occured in 2006 to both members of JoDesign. With a personal split between design partners Jordan and KJ in the spring of 2006, the website was put on hold for a couple of months. Luckily, the personal differences were eventually overshadowed by their desire to see the site up and running again and by summer of 2006, KJ started to blog again and dream big for Finding Me. It has been fun to spend time together again adding little tidbits here and there to Finding Me -- much like divorced parents dedicated still to co-parenting!

Most attractive spam code graphic on the web.
One of these notable tidbits is the spectacular spam security feature (as seen above) that Jordan designed and implemented when The Infamous Konkin Questions page was being deluged suddenly with spam. "I laughed so hard the first time I tried it out," explained Konkin, "when you attempt to SUBMIT an answer without typing in the code, it spits out these obscenities...it is quite marvellous. Everyone must try it!" Then there is, of course, kjkonkin.com's first podcast. Listen to it below...
KJ is very excited about the podcast and still hopes to use her new Nikon camera to create future video podcasts or 'Vlogs' as she likes to think of them. Other tidbits include a brand new photo gallery, a KJ's Finds list dedicated to her new favorite website youtube.com, some added Konkin Poems and a much needed update to the Scrumptious Websites page. "By all means," KJ was eager to add to her readers, "if you and I know each other and I don't have your website linked on my site, contact me and I'll add it asap!"
But with all this change and excitment, the biggest news of all has been watching her visitor count hit the 10,000 mark. "I made Finding Me so that I could share the story of my redefinition and I invited anyone who might be interested to join me," says an emotional Konkin,"the fact that so many have chosen to do so proves that even when I am lost, I am blessed." |
